The Vault is open. Hard Rock calls it the
most amazing collection of Rock and Roll treasures on earth.
Some just call it 'another money making machine of Hard
Rock'. Of course most of the Rock and
Roll Memorabilia that is owned by Corporate hangs on the
walls of the HRCs all over the world. But there is still
stuff left. Prior to the Vault this stuff was stored in the
Hard Rock Warehouse and only a handfull of people were
allowed to go in and see the stuff - which was a shame. So
the idea for the Vault was born. Here all the stuff that is
currently not on display in any HRC can be seen. Some of the
stuff is really interesting. For example you can see the
Original Fender Lead II guitar of Eric Clapton that started
all the HRC Memorabilia collection when Eric gave it to the
original HRC London in 1979. My problem
with 'The vault': Entry fee is US-$ 14.95 plus tax which is
way too much in my opinion. So my advice is: Go over to the
HRC and HR Hotel in Orlando and enjoy all the great Rock and
Roll Memorabilia there for free. Maybe soon Corporate will
lower the entrance fee then :-)
